Every standard outlet has a copper circuit between the two terminal screws in the socket. This connection provides electricity to power the 3 LED lights at the bottom of the plate.

Step 1. Turn off power to outlet and remove old outlet plate.

Each LED outlet plate costs less than 10 cents per year to power! The LED Outlet plate will be off during the day and on throughout the night.
